San Marcos outgunned Juayua to take the lead in Liga Superior Finals. San Marcos dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Juayua's 36. They outrebounded Juayua 54-40 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Yoan-Luis Haiti (201-82, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds. Forward William Merino (187-0) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. San Marcos' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Fernando Baides (200-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Harrison Rieger (193-98) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Juayua. Five San Marcos and four Juayua players scored in double figures.
